Workshops
Carolyn Bennett, Director of Promotions and Workforce Development, and
Kathy Methner, Director of Business Development, Middle Michigan
Development Corporation are the workshop facilitators. Both Ms. Bennett
and Ms. Methner have successfully completed The Joseph and Edna Josephson
Institute of Ethics comprehensive program Ethics in the Workplace.
Both presenters have also successfully completed the CHARACTER COUNTS!sm
Character Development Seminar through the Josephson Institute of Ethics.
These two women also continue to raise their own personal awareness of
ethics and character development through membership in Clare County’s
and Isabella County’s CHARACTER COUNTS! coalition and by attending
regional workshops and seminars on ethics, character development, and
workforce development. Ms. Bennett is also an Educational Advisory Group
participant for the Central Area Michigan Works! Consortium and a member
of the Central Area Michigan Works! Consortium Workforce Investment
Board. Ms. Methner was appointed in 2003 to The Center for Professional
and Personal Ethics advisory board at Central Michigan University. She
is also a member of Region–7B’s Workforce Investment Board, and an
Educational Advisory Group participant for Region-7B. Over the last two
years, Ms. Methner and Ms. Bennett have provided character and ethics
workshops to well over 1,500 people.
