What is Coming Home: Middle Michigan?
It's not a job fair, but it is an event purposefully created to connect Middle Michigan Employers with career-seekers who should call Middle Michigan home. During Central Michigan University's Homecoming weekend, we hope to reengage former Middle Michiganders with more than football games and alma maters through this Career Networking event. It's an event dedicated to giving attendees good reasons to "come home" to Middle Michigan, because of our high-quality careers and our high-quality of life. Past events have resulted in many hires!
In 2019, Middle Michigan Development Corporation (MMDC) hosted their first Coming Home Networking Mixer Event for Michigan “boomerangs" - young professionals who moved out of State for a time but are eager to come back and put down some roots. This year, MMDC, Greater Gratiot Development Inc., and Gladwin County Economic Development Corporation joined together to host a networking event to introduce these young professionals and graduating college seniors to the amazing opportunities and employers of Middle Michigan. We are excited to bring back this annual tradition as an in-person event.
